Pink Everlasting Dream Scanlations ( Also known as, PED ) was created on May 2007 with it’s first release, Gakuen Alice. Started and Dedicated to the Shoujo Manga, Gakuen Alice, PED went from being a small forum/blog to a Scanlation Group.
PED started as a community where fan would offer their time to work on whatever they can with less strict rules and standards. After experiencing many things, learning many things, PED decide to walk of a path of professionalism, bring fans well understood English and Clean Scans. Our Moto in 2007 was, ” Read it like in a BookStore “.
At the end of 2007-2008, Gakuen Alice became more popular then ever, rating top 3 positions in ” Best Manga ” and ” Most Read ” polls and status. With PED time frame of ” Releasing once per month or more “, compliation was hard. Speed was more important then Quailty and Language. Some with thoughts of dropping our mainstream project. In 2007, we jointed with HamHam Scanlations for the Manwaha, Kiss to My Prince.
In 2008, we continued on with Gakuen Alice no matter what. Declaring that we will provide HQ Scanlations. With our new project, Kiss to My Prince, we worked the two projects at the same time. Complation got harsher for our Mainstream project, Gakuen Alice. It became the most hardest Series to be moderated in many forums. With Gakuen Alice broadcast in Philippines and Asia, popularity rose in quick speed. With many doing the project, imagination boundaries were made but, more groups came. PED keep going on it’s path of HQ with Gakuen Alice, no matter what.
In 2008, summer, Rental Magica from Solomon, was taken in as our project and released. Also, in Mid-September, Hanayashiki no Juunintachi, from the creators of BLOOD+ , was taken in by PED and released in September. The popularity of Gakuen Alice, declined a bit after November 2008. With groups declining also, PED lived through the events and is still doing the latest Chapters of Gakuen Alice till this day. With GA Chapter 103 and GA Chapter 104 released back to back, we will stay until it’s over.
